Ink Card Fingerprinting

How It Works

20-minute increments are blocked off for each appointment to ensure we are capturing quality and classifiable prints. Time may vary depending on the conditions of each individual's hands and their ability to relax and allow the technician to lead the session. Did You Know... Your fingerprints can be electronically captured, stored on a secured server, and printed out on ink cards? This means, you would not have to deal with the inconvenience of obtaining multiple sets of ink fingerprints over and over again? This is called Archiving. Traditional Ink Rolled

  1. Arrive 10 min early for registration and intake

  2. Our Fingerprint Technician will apply ink and roll each finger on the ink card

  3. You will complete the required fields at the top of the card

  4. You will leave our office with your completed card

  5. You will follow the instructions of your requesting agency as to how to submit your fingerprint card

Live Scan Capture

  1. Arrive 10 min early for registration and intake
  2. You will get fingerprinted on our live scan machine
  3. Our Fingerprint Technician will print your requested number cards (2 are automatically included)
  4. The top of the card will be electronically completed
  5. You will leave our office with your completed cards
  6. You will follow the instructions of your requesting agency as to how to submit your fingerprint cards

What Are Fingerprint Cards

Fingerprint cards are the traditional method of fingerprinting collection

​Fingerprinting cards can be captured on any ink card including state-specific cards or special fingerprinting forms by either:

  • Authentically Ink Rolled Capture

  • Live Scan Captured and printed out on a Card

Both are equivalent and will be accepted in most cases where fingerprint cards are required. However, we recommend confirming with your requesting agency or foreign entity what format is required, because each agency may require a different card or form format. We can provide ink fingerprinting in any format that your agency requires.

We have a full supply of the following cards:

  • FD-258
  • SF-87

State Specific Cards or Special Forms:

If you require a state-specific fingerprint card, a special form, or any other type of ink card not listed above, contact us before scheduling to avoid service request errors.

Any state-specific fingerprint card or Special Form can be brought upon arrival for in-person appointments or sent to us via email or mail in order for us to take your electronic record for print-out.
